Beginning in 2021-2022, Blue Ridge ISD began offering a full-day Pre-K program for students 4 years old on or before September 1, 2023. Students that do not qualify for Pre-K based on the qualifications listed here may still register to be placed on a waiting list. The curriculum framework follows the TEA Prekindergarten Curriculum Guidelines and provides an instructional program that is vertically aligned with the Kindergarten Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills. These instructional objectives fall into the categories of language and literacy, mathematics, science, social studies, physical development, fine arts, personal and social development, health and safety, and technology. 

Prekindergarten acceptance priorities:

1. Students who qualify for Pre-K (qualifications found here)

2. Staff members with Pre-K children

3. General public who do not qualify for Pre-K

Students who do not qualify for Pre-K may still register and be placed on a waiting list. BRISD will notify general public Pre-K registrants by July 1st if there is room for their child. 

Prekindergarten Tuition Costs

All tuition payments will be made through an online payment portal or at the BRISD Administration Building located at 318 W. School St.  

Yearly Tuition: $3,000

Monthly tuition: $300 per month (August-May)

There is no reduction in tuition due to illness, absences, or days school is closed. Tuition will not be refunded if your child leaves the program.

Students of BRISD employees will receive a 25% discount. 

Prekindergarten calendar

The BRISD Pre-K program will follow the Blue Ridge ISD school calendar for the 2023-2024 school year. The first day of school is August 10, 2023.
